Getting Ready for Twilio Setup Assistance
If you need help setting up Twilio for text messaging in your CF account, we’re happy to assist! However, before we can proceed, there are a few things you need to do first.
1. Add a Privacy Policy Page to Your Website
Your website must include a Privacy Policy that outlines how customer data, including phone numbers, will be used. To do this:
- Ask your webmaster to create a new page for your Privacy Policy.
- Use this Privacy Policy as a reference for the content
- If you don’t have a website but need help creating one, let us know, and we’ll create you a free website which will work in getting this Twilio stuff approved.
- Email your branding details (logo, colors, service photos, etc) to maria@thecustomerfactor.com with the subject line: Twilio: Webpage Setup Help
2. Update Your Contact Form with an Authorization Message
To comply with regulations, your lead capture form must include a consent message that informs users about how they will be contacted.
- Request your webmaster to add an authorization message at the bottom of the form.
- The message should include permission for calls, texts, and emails, even when using automated technology.
- Below is an example of what must be included:
By clicking FREE ESTIMATE below, you’re giving us permission to communicate with you via SMS text. We promise to only communicate when necessary for things regarding your quote request, reminders or an occasional special offer. No purchase is required. Plus, if you ever change your mind and you no longer want us to contact you, reply END or STOP to any email or text message to immediately opt out. Standard text message rates apply.
3. Notify Us Once the Website Updates Are Done
After your Privacy Policy page and contact form updates are completed:
- Contact us at 605-945-6132.
- We'll then get the campaign submitted for you.
By completing these steps in advance, we can ensure a smooth and quick Twilio setup process for you! If you have any questions or need help with your website setup, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to assist.
